Jive Dance SilhouetteJive – Jive is the English version of the American East Coast Swing. The Jive was introduced to Europe during World War II when the American GI’s began to show off the Jitterbug (single time swing) they were dancing in the US. The Jive is quite bouncy with sharp flicks and kicks but unlike East Coast Swing, it is danced to faster tempo swing music and meant for competitive style dancing.
